This process was done by Mr. Fan for cosplay and I helped :D I also provided my bathroom, which was a nice lovely shade of blue afterwards.
This was for Ao from Eureka 7. Mr. Fan had already ordered one wig and got this bright blue piece of crap that looked like a Vocaloid wig that committed suicide. SO WE DECIDED TO SHARPIE DYE A WHITE WIG SO WE COULD GET THE PERFECT
This is one of the sharpie dye sticks (after you break it apart)
BAH. DYEING WIG. FIRST TIME. HUR.
This was when we were too overly cautious of how dark the dye would turn the wig, so we sprayed the dye on using an old Windex bottle. (Later we just started dumping the dye on)
We let the wig soak for a bit, then left it to dry. After it was completely dry, I washed it out until the water ran clear and left it to dry again.
We constantly kept a 2:1 ratio of teal to aqua blue for the dye wells :D
So... Here's the picture of me washing it out again.
STILL 2ND TREATMENT.
This was the third treatment imposed on this wig c: (AP Statistics, sorry xD)
It looks all fancy (thanks iPhone and your fancy apps) put together in a collage.
Then the stupid thing washed out to the greenish-blue colour we wanted! Only just too light... Drat.
It actually looked lighter than it did before... I was so confused ;A;
(Keep in mind this was the 4th time dyeing this wig)
THIS WAS THE 5TH TREATMENT. AND WE DEEMED IT THE LAST. (Unless something really messed up...)
This little sucker got so many sharpies and so little alcohol. I don't even remember.
Right top picture was the colour of the wig after it dried before I washed it out.
Bottom left picture is me washing out this wig in my bathtub c:
Bottom right picture is the wig immediately put on a wig head right after washing it out (keep it mind it's still wet).
I pretty much screamed in excitement with how vivid the colour got. I knew it was going to be perfect!!!
Just to give a better look, I took a picture of me holding the wig in my bathroom (with my dirty mirror).
WARNING: My bathroom light got changed, so it was SUPER SUPER WHITE. And the filter from instagram on this photo made it look super duper blue. It's actually more green as you can see in the next picture C:
PARTY HARD AND GOOD NIGHT<3
